FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Guests receive personalised herbal tea recommendations based on an AI-powered Traditional Chinese Medicine assessment, powered by Aiteaic's patented 97% extraction technology, paired with a wellness-inspired afternoon tea experience.

Singapore, 26 June 2026 — Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel Singapore and Singapore wellness brand Luli have partnered to launch a personalised wellness afternoon tea experience that combines AI-powered Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) assessments, tailored herbal tea recommendations, and wellness-inspired culinary creations. The collaboration, enabled by Aiteaic – an AI-powered TCM wellness platform – marks the first time a hotel in Singapore has integrated TCM diagnostic technology into an afternoon tea experience.

Available from July 2026 at The Lobby Lounge, guests begin their experience with a complimentary AI-powered TCM assessment before receiving a personalised herbal tea recommendation based on their unique body constitution. The experience is paired with a curated afternoon tea menu developed in collaboration with Luli, offering a modern interpretation of TCM-inspired ingredients and flavours.

Set against the hotel's signature riverfront setting, the collaboration reimagines the traditional afternoon tea through a wellness lens. By combining technology, hospitality and cultural heritage, Grand Copthorne Waterfront and Luli are transforming afternoon tea from a social ritual into a personalised experience designed around the individual guest.

The partnership reflects growing consumer interest in experiences that balance indulgence with intentional wellbeing, offering a fresh approach to wellness that is both personalised and seamlessly integrated into the hospitality experience.

"At Grand Copthorne Waterfront, we are continually exploring meaningful ways to enhance the guest experience beyond traditional hospitality offerings. This collaboration with Luli allows us to introduce a new dimension of personalised wellness that is both engaging and accessible. By combining innovative technology with the timeless ritual of afternoon tea, we are creating an experience that encourages guests to pause, reconnect with themselves, and discover wellness in a way that feels intuitive and enjoyable," shares Andrew Tan, General Manager of Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel Singapore.

Where Ancient Wisdom Meets Modern Technology

At the heart of the experience is Aiteaic, an AI-powered wellness platform developed by Singapore-based TCM wellness brand Luli, which is rooted in the philosophy of 药食同源 (Food as Medicine).

Upon arrival, guests begin their experience with a complimentary tongue scan using Aiteaic's AI Mirror. Drawing from Traditional Chinese Medicine diagnostic principles, the system analyses key tongue characteristics to identify the guest's TCM body constitution, such as Qi Deficiency, Damp-Heat or Yin Deficiency, in less than 30 seconds.

Based on the assessment, guests receive a personalised herbal tea recommendation from Luli's collection of remedy tea formulations. The recommended tea is freshly brewed using Aiteaic's patented nanobubble high-pressure extraction technology, which preserves up to 97 per cent of the herbs' active compounds while delivering a smooth, approachable flavour profile (see Appendix 1 for more details). This technology ensures that guests receive not just a delicious cup of tea, but the full therapeutic potential of the herbs – without bitterness or compromise. The entire scan-to-sip journey takes less than two minutes, offering guests an accessible introduction to Traditional Chinese Medicine through technology, hospitality and food.

"Traditional Chinese Medicine has always been deeply personalised, but historically it has not always been accessible or easy to integrate into modern lifestyles. Through this partnership, we are bringing AI-powered TCM wellness beyond our own spaces and into hospitality, allowing more people to experience personalised wellness in a familiar and enjoyable setting. It is an exciting step towards making TCM a natural part of everyday life," says Jovalene Teo, CEO & Founder of Luli and Aiteaic.

A Personalised Afternoon Tea Experience

Unlike conventional afternoon tea experiences where every guest receives the same tea pairing, each visitor receives a wellness tea tailored specifically to their individual TCM profile.

The tea collection features ten functional herbal blends developed using ingredients traditionally used within TCM, with flavour profiles ranging from floral and refreshing to warming and comforting.

Highlights include:

  • Ziziphus, Lily & Poria Tea: Formulated to support Qi stagnation while offering delicate floral and berry notes.

  • American Ginseng, Goji & Chrysanthemum Tea: A warming blend traditionally associated with circulation and vitality.

  • Tangerine Peel & Dendrobium Tea: Designed to support Yin nourishment with bright citrus notes and a smooth finish.

  • Malva Nut & Monkfruit Tea: A refreshing blend traditionally enjoyed for cooling and soothing properties.

Guests may also elevate their experience with personalised low-ABV (Alcohol by Volume) cocktails or wellness mocktails inspired by their AI assessment results, specially curated to complement their recommended tea profile.

Wellness-Inspired Afternoon Tea Creations Crafted exclusively for the collaboration, a selection of wellness-inspired creations has been developed to complement Luli's personalised tea recommendations. These include:

  • Ginseng Infused Chocolate 66%: A rich chocolate mousse infused with Luli's American Ginseng and Chrysanthemum Tea, balancing deep cocoa notes with delicate floral and herbal nuances.

  • Chrysanthemum Chantilly: Whipped cream slowly infused with Chrysanthemum Tea and paired with tea-soaked sponge cake, delivering a light and refreshing finish inspired by traditional herbal tea flavours.

As diners increasingly seek experiences that prioritise wellbeing, the collaboration reflects a broader shift within luxury hospitality toward personalised and preventative wellness. Rather than positioning wellness as a standalone offering, Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel Singapore and Luli have integrated wellbeing into an everyday hospitality ritual, creating an experience that is meaningful and memorable.

APPENDIX 1: How the 97% Extraction Technology Works

Nanobubble generation: The system creates ultra-fine gas bubbles (nanobubbles) within the brewing liquid using high-pressure cavitation. These bubbles have an average diameter of 10-100nm – thousands of times smaller than a standard tea bubble.

Increased surface area: Nanobubbles provide an extremely high gas-liquid interfacial area, dramatically improving the contact between water and herbal compounds.

Enhanced extraction: The combination of nanobubbles and high pressure disrupts plant cell walls more effectively than conventional steeping, releasing a higher percentage of active compounds (polyphenols, flavonoids, saponins) into the brew.

Stable suspension: Nanobubbles remain suspended in liquid for extended periods, ensuring consistent extraction throughout the brewing cycle.

Result: 97% nutrient yield – significantly higher than traditional steeping (approx 40-60%) or standard pod machines (approx 60-70%).

Scientific Validation

Independent research has demonstrated that nanobubble-assisted extraction significantly increases polyphenol yield compared to conventional methods. Aiteaic's proprietary system adapts this technology for TCM herbs, optimising pressure, temperature, and bubble size for each capsule formulation.
